Did you know that humans are mammals?


We are learning to understand about the evolution of mammals.
I know I can do this when I ask 5 Inquiry questions of my own about mammals and find related information.

Have you been to the shops before?

In the weekend my family and I went to the shops. We went there to buy our school lunch and some groceries.

For our school lunch we brought a bar, apple, ham, bread, le snack, corn crackers, pairs and biscuit. Then we went to buy food for lunch. We bought pizza and it was very yummy and tasty. Then we all went back home. When we got home, we saw a small grey car we didn't know who it was so we went inside to check who was there. When we got inside, we saw my older brother and my cousin sitting on the chair waiting for us to come back home from the shops.

They hugged and kissed us because they were so happy to see us. I was very happy. Then my mum asked them if they wanted something to eat and they said ''yes''. We shared the pizza that we had bought with them.
After they finished eating we all decided to have fun taking photos on my cousins phone. We took the photos on snap chat.

After that it was time for them to go home. I had a great time taking photos with my cousins. Next time I hope we can go out together or play games.

Do you like to dance?

In the weekend my mum, little sisters, little brother and I went to my little sister and brother's culture festival. I was so happy and excited. We travelled in my dads car. It was held at a Tongan kindergarten school in Glen Innes. When we got there, we all got out of the car and went inside the school.

Image result for tongan kid dancingWhen we went in we saw a lot of Tongan people inside. Before long it began. The teacher told the little kids to come to the front so they could perform the dance that they have been practising during school time. They performed many dances. After that It was time for some food. There were cakes, sandwiches and there were also drinks.

There was water and juice. Then all the food and drinks were gone. It was time for every one to go back home. I had an awesome night. Next time I hope they perform different dances.

Learning intention:
We are learning to organise the ideas in my recount.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write 6 paragraphs about my weekend in order.

Jumping Jack and the giant bean stalk!

Dear heavenly Father, 
Thank you for my lovely family and friends. Thank you  
for the wonderful creatures and plants. Please look after my little brother
and sister who is in hospital and keep them safe.
