Happy birthday to me!

On Thursday 1st of october it was my brithday. I was very happy and excited. My birthday celebration was held at my house.


We had a chocolate cake and it looked very tasty and delicios. My dad put ten candles on the cake and lit it with a lighter. Then everyone sang me a happy birthday song to me. I made a wish before blowing out the candle. 

After that my dad cut the cake into twelve pieces and gave a piece to each one of us. We saved a piece of the cake for my mum because she was at work. I really enjoyed the cake.

Then we watched a movie. We watched straight outta compton. I didn't really like the movie because it had alot of bad words in it. 

Later on I felt tired. I had so much fun celebrating my birthday with my family.
Next time I hope we celebrate my birthday somewhere else and that my mum will be able to join us.

Have you ever been to a Duffy assembly before?

Image result for tasha hohaiaOn Tuesday 8th of September, the Duffy hero came to visit St. Patricks school. Her name was Tasha. Shes a singer and a lawer.

First Miss Twomey introduced the womans name. Her name was Tasha she is 28 years old and she was on x factor earlier this year. Tasha asked everyone if we wanted to hear her sing and we all said ''yes!'' in a loud voice. She sang mamma knows best. I was do happy and surprised to hear her strong and flexible voice.

Next we asked her a lot of questions. Then Mrs Dines told Rosary to get duffy box full of books.

Then, assembly was nearly finished so Tasha sang one last song called price tag by Jessie J. After that assembly was over. I had a wonderfull time listening to her
beutiful voice.
We are learning to describe a person.
Success crteria: I know I can do this when I write 12 sentences about Tasha Hohaia.

Are you going to the shops today?

During the weekend my sister, dad  and I went to the shops. We went to the shops because we needed to buy our school lunch and food for dinner. My sister and I were very happy and excited.

Before we went out we had to put our shoes on. After we put our shoes on, we all went in the car and buckled our seat belt off we went to the supermarket we went to Pak 'n' Save. It was yellow and black and it also had signs on the window.

It was at Glen Innes. When we got inside, my sister and I went to get a trolley that we can use to put our groceries in. When we got a trolley, my sister, dad and I went to look for the food that we wanted to buy.

We brought ham, mayonnaise, apple, bread, Le snack, crackers, cookies, mini creams, butter and chocolate bars. We also brought some food for dinner. 

We brought chicken, tomato sauce, fish, potatoes, rice, coconut cream and sausages. After we got the groceries in the trolley, my sister asked my dad if we could go for a walk around the shop and my dad said yes. So we went for a walk. After we went for a walk we went back to look for my dad. 

When we found him, we went to go and pay for our groceries. While we were paying for it, we asked my dad if we can buy Kit Kat my dad said yes we like Kit Kat because it is very sweet.

After we paid for it we took the groceries into the car. We gently placed the groceries in the car. After we gently put the groceries in the car, we all went back back home. 

I had a fun and exciting time going to the shops. Next time I hope we go to a different shop next time because we always go to the same one.

Have you been to a Matariki festival before?

On the weekends my dad, brother, sisters and I went to the Matariki festival at Glen Innes reserve. We walked there because it was near our house.


When we got there, we saw a lot of lights. There were a lot of lights there were dolphins, fisherman and more. Then we went For a walk. While we were walking, we saw more and more lights they had different coloured lights. There were blue, green, red, purple, yellow, grey and pink.

Next we went past a shop that was selling glow lights. My sister asked if she could buy one of the glow lights 
and my dad said ''Yes''! It only cost $3.00 dollars. After she brought it we went home because my little sister was getting very tired. I had a fun and a great time going to the Matariki festival.

Next time I hope we go on a different day because there were so many people there which made it really crowded.

What is climate change?

Going to the Laundromat!

During the weekends my sister, dad and I went to the laundromat. We went in my dads car and I was very excited. When we got there, I took the bag that had our our dirity clothes in and took it inside the laundromat. My sister and I helped my dad put the clothes in the washing machine. After we put the clothes in, my dad went to go and pay for it. It cost him $5.00 to pay for it.

Then we went for a walk around the shops. While we were walking my dad went in one of the shops to buy some banannas and pie for us to eat. It took a long time so we waited and waited and waited until it was ready. When it was ready, my dad went to get the bag from the car so we can put our clean clothes in it.

After we put the clothes in the bag, we put the bag in the car and then we went back home.
I had a great time going to the Laundromat. Next time I hope we can go to a different one next time because we always go to the same one.

Do you like to go to the beach?

In the weekend my family and I went to the beach we went in big grey van. There was a park for us to play on.

My sisters and I were playing on the monkey bar. Then we all went for a swim but not before we changed into our swimming togs. There were two changing rooms. One of the changing room was the girls changing room and the other was the boy's changing. My sisters and I went in the girls changing room and my brothers went in the boys changing room.

After we were all changed, we all went for a swim. When I got in the water, it was cold as ice. Then my older sister and I had a swimming competition. I won because I was faster.I was  happy and proud of my self.

Then we taught my little sister how to swim because she was scared. Then it was time to go home so we ran out of time to teach my little sister how to swim.

I had a fun time going to the beach with my family. I hope we go to the same beach next time because there are also big rocks that we could climb up the park.

Have you been to the shops before?

In the weekend my family and I went to the shops. We went there to buy our school lunch and some groceries.

For our school lunch we brought a bar, apple, ham, bread, le snack, corn crackers, pairs and biscuit. Then we went to buy food for lunch. We bought pizza and it was very yummy and tasty. Then we all went back home. When we got home, we saw a small grey car we didn't know who it was so we went inside to check who was there. When we got inside, we saw my older brother and my cousin sitting on the chair waiting for us to come back home from the shops.

They hugged and kissed us because they were so happy to see us. I was very happy. Then my mum asked them if they wanted something to eat and they said ''yes''. We shared the pizza that we had bought with them.
After they finished eating we all decided to have fun taking photos on my cousins phone. We took the photos on snap chat.

After that it was time for them to go home. I had a great time taking photos with my cousins. Next time I hope we can go out together or play games.

Do you like to dance?

In the weekend my mum, little sisters, little brother and I went to my little sister and brother's culture festival. I was so happy and excited. We travelled in my dads car. It was held at a Tongan kindergarten school in Glen Innes. When we got there, we all got out of the car and went inside the school.

The teacher told the little kids to come to the front so they could perform the dance that they have been practising during school time. They performed many dances. After that It was time for some food. There were cakes, sandwiches and there were also drinks.

There was water and juice. Then all the food and drinks were gone. It was time for every one to go back home. I had an awesome night. Next time I hope they perform different dances.
